This year’s gala commemorates 35 years of CAWC’s exceptional services to the Chicago area in helping thousands of victims and their children rebuild their lives and renew their hopes for violence free futures.

The event, presented by Discovery Clothing Company, will feature a cocktail hour with silent auction and mystery wine raffle, followed by a seated dinner, live auction and dancing with music provided by Style Matters, DJs.

This year, CAWC will present its Champion Award to Adam Street Partners.

Sounds of Silence Gala 2011

NBC Chicago’s Natalie Martinez served as the master of ceremonies for CAWC’s Sounds of Silence 2011.  The event, which was held on March 19 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, Crystal Ballroom, brought together 275 guests to give recognition to the too often silent crime of domestic violence and to celebrate the success of hundreds of victims that CAWC helps each year to rebuild their lives and restore their hopes for violence-free futures. The Signature Room at the 95th- Charity of the Month

Connections for Abused Women and their Children is delighted to have been chosen as the charity that will benefit during the month of May in the Signature Room Charity of the month program. When you order from the Signature Room Chef’s Selection Menu during May, the Signature Room at the 95th will donate ten percent of the proceeds to CAWC.
